Michael S Evans is a family lawyer who has been licensed to practice in Oregon since 1985 and in Washington since 1986. Although Mike has always handled family law cases, the first fifteen years of his practice also included substantial business litigation which he finds invaluable in handling the financial aspects of family law cases. Mike is a "double duck," having graduated from University of Oregon in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science degree in speech and his Juris Doctorate from University of Oregon in 1985. He has spoken on numerous topics including child support, property division, tax issues relating to divorce, prenuptial agreements, and legal ethics. He has also appeared in the “Ask the Expert” column in the Oregonian concerning disposition of the family residence in a divorce case. Mike has also served as an arbitrator for cases referred to arbitration in Multnomah County, and frequently represents children. Mike also has substantial experience handling interstate child custody jurisdictional disputes.

Mike is a member of the advisory board for the paralegal program at Pioneer Pacific College.

In his free time, Mike enjoys hiking, cross country skiing, reading, and spending time with his family, including his dog, Midge.
