We recognize that despite the impact that COVID 19 virus is having on all of our daily lives, certain aspects of your life, such as your divorce or modification, need to continue going forward. We know that many of you do not want to meet in person, so we are able to conduct initial consultations and other meetings, by videoconference or telephone. Fortunately, much of the work that we do in resolving your case can be done via email and data downloads, and we can still serve your legal needs notwithstanding present circumstances.

We also can keep you informed as to what is happening with each county as to how court hearings are being handled. For the immediate future, the only family law hearings that are happening are ones that are considered emergencies, including parenting time enforcement, emergency custody petitions, and restraining orders. As the Courts become less able to provide prompt resolution of legal matters, it may appropriate to consider alternate dispute resolution options likely to provide a more timely resolution, including private arbitration and mediation, which also could be done by videoconference. We also remain available to assist with your will and estate planning needs.
